The Concert Ballet’s Winter Gala offers cabaret seating along with desserts and refreshments available for purchase at the performances.

A delightful performance of music and ballet at The Woman’s Club Auditorium, attached to Richmond’s historic Bolling Haxall House, this ballroom theater seats approximately 300-400. Its restored and intimate setting is preferred by many because it "creates a feeling of being an integral part of the dance production."

The dance program includes “Les Preludes,” choreographed by Nan Blackwell to music by Franz Lizst; “Oberon and Tatiana,” a pas de deux choreographed by Lynn Powell to Ambroise Thomas’s overture to the opera “Mignon;” “Artist’s Life,” choreographed by Karen Moore to music by Johann Strauss II; “The Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka,” a short, humorous piece based on 19th-century Vienna’s passion for gossip, choreographed by Scott Boyer to music by Strauss; and the premiere of a new work commissioned by The Concert Ballet especially for the Winter Gala.
